The future of the game is to use Mafia Wars rackets as a substitute for properties. Players who are new to the game will get the rackets feature while “old” players will still have access to the properties feature. An incentive of some type will ultimately be given to players under the old system in order to move everyone into the rackets system. The new system is not meeting with much excitement, especially from players who have played under the properties system. There is also some complaints about how Zynga delivered the new system.
