Intelligent MEMS sensor cell phone market-driven sales peak
Recently forecast that even though the overall cell phone market is expected to decline, but this year the smart mobile phone shipments in 2008 will be an increase of 11%. This prediction for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensor manufacturers are the good news. Inertial sensors have fast become the standard platform configuration. Apple iPhone and Research in Motion (RIM) the Blackberry Storm and other best-selling models, as well as the Samsung Omnia, HTC’s Diamond and the Nokia N95 and N96, also adopted the same sensor.
