The Meteor Man from 1993. Townsend plays a cautious, nerdy school teacher with a terror of heights who gets hit by an odd emerald meteor that turns him into a superhero. Magnificent “Superman in the Hood” tale, complete of good values, but very few really humorous moments. Cast includes Robert Townsend, Marla Gibbs, Eddie Griffin, Robert Guillaume, James Earl Jones, Roy Fegan, and Bill Cosby.
Adios Amigo came out in 1975. Peculiar western comedy, written, produced, and directed by Williamson, who also plays a part in the movie along with con guy Pryor. There is no sex or violence in this benign movie, but it just does not exactly come together. Cast includes Fred Williamson, Richard Pryor, Thalmus Rasulala, James Brown, and Robert Phillips. The Sentinel from 1977. Even though tedious shocker in reference to N. Y.C. fashion model, who rents a residence in Brooklyn, finds it is filled of demons and she is the next guardian for the gateway to Hell. No Man of Her Own came out in 1950. Pretentious drama based on Cornell Woolrich tale of Helen Ferguson (Stanwyck) assuming another’s identity and becoming part of a fmaily. Later in the movie she is being blackmailed by her ex-boyfriend. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, John Lund, Jane Cowl, Phyllis Thaxter, and Richard Denning.
